Comprised of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, 7% Syrah, and, for the first time, 5% Malbec, this this red blend is approachable, rewarding, and a phenominal value. The dark ruby color has a nose of ripe berries. Soft tannins with piquant acidity creates a structure which allows this wine to pair with a wide range of flavors.
In addition to producing Bordeaux style varieties, Los Olivos also proves to be a great area for the production of Syrah. Our Los Olivos District Syrah is fermented in small bins, punched down by hand, gently pressed, and then matured in neutral French oak for ten months. On the palate this wine shows notes of blackberries, raspberries, and cassis with a touch of iron and gaminess in the finish.
