In 1975 the Brander Vineyard became the first in Santa Barbara County to plant Cabernet Franc. This bottling is 100% from the original 1975 planting. It demonstrates Cabernet Francs exotic herbal perfume and firm structure. Deep garnet in color, great structure, this wine opens with a nose of violets, lilacs and dried currants.

A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Merlot, our 2019 Bouchet (in the Saint-Émilion region of Bordeaux, the name refers to Cabernet Franc) reflects our passion for producing beautifully balanced, classically-styled wines. An opaque ruby in color, the nose shows violets and cherry while the structured palate showcases blackberries and soft tannins. Pair this with a rib eye steak, lamb chops, or a hearty penne pasta with homemade ragu sauce.
In addition to producing Bordeaux style varieties, Los Olivos also proves to be a great area for the production of Syrah. Our Los Olivos District Syrah is fermented in small bins, punched down by hand, gently pressed, and then matured in neutral French oak for ten months. On the palate this wine shows notes of blackberries, raspberries, and cassis with a touch of iron and gaminess in the finish.
Our unrestrained Cabernet Sauvignon blend that brings together the best attributes of many different varietals. The bright red up front fruit of Cabernet Sauvignon, the body, depth, and darker fruit of Syrah and Merlot, and the structure and finish of Cabernet Franc and Malbec. An easy bottle to love and will likely be gone in one enjoyable sitting.
